Azerbaijan, Baku, 27 September / Trend corr E.Ismayilov/ On 27 September, the US Agency for International Development (USAID), Chevron Khazar Ltd. And StatoilHydro signed a MOU on Economic Studies in Schools project.
The MOU will enable the Junior Achievement Azerbaijan to implement the program on Economic Studies in Schools intended for 230 secondary schools in Azerbaijan. The program to involve 300 teachers and thousands pupils will be implemented within 2008-2010. Trainings on finances, work skills and entrepreneurship will be held within the program.
According to the MOU, USAID allocated $73,000, StatoilHydro - $87,000, Chevron Khazar Ltd. - $50,000 for development of the project, USAID Coordinator for Azerbaijan Scott Taylor said.
