Azerbaijan, Baku, 29 October / Trend / The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) put into exploitation new oil and gas well at Guneshli-13 platform, the SOCAR said.
Average annual output of the well exceeds 51mln cu.m of gas and 10,000 tons of oil. The new well is in 3,023m depth.
Guneshli-13 platform, which was put into exploitation in 2004, is designated for drilling of 20 wells. Ten wells, which were included in the fund of 28 May Oil and Gas Production Unity, were drilled within four years.
Four wells were put into exploitation in 2008. It is planned to drill ten more new wells from the platform.
Guneshli is the hugest oil and gas field, developed by the SOCAR independently. A total of 60% of whole produced oil and 70% of gas, which the SOCAR produces, fall on this field.
New wells are drilled within the framework of the development program of 28 May Oil and Gas Production Unity, which the SOCAR adopted for 2008-2010. 28 May OGPU develops offshore Guneshli oil and gas field. It is planned to stabilize oil production and increase amount of natural gas production under the program.
