Ukrainian Oil Refining Analyses Quality of Kazakh Light Oil

Ukraine, Kiev, Dec.11 / Trend , corr. Z.Novosvitskiy / The Lisichanskiy oil refinery contracted 14,000 tons of oil from the Kazakhstan Kumkol field in Nov, the UNIAN reported referring to Dmitriy Zverev, deputy director of the department of public communications TNK-VR Commerce.

"Thus far these are trial deliveries. We analyze the quality of raw material and effectiveness, which it ensures. If this will be profitably, we will increase import from Kazakhstan", he said.

According to Zverev, company constantly searches for the ways of increasing the effectiveness in the work Lisichanskiy oil refinery, including diversification of raw basket.

"We are extremely interesting in the so-called light oil, which contains a smaller quantity of sulphur and making it possible to extract large number of bright components", Zverev added.

According to operational data, in Jan-Nov, Lisichanskiy oil refinery reduced petroleum refining by 28.4 percent, in comparison with the analogous period of 2007, to 3.708,100 tons.
In 2007, plant increased petroleum refining, on the comparison since 2006, by 14.7 percent - to 5,651mln tons.

Lisichanskiy oil refinery (Lugansk region) is the second according to the power in the Ukraine plant, capable of yearly processing 16mln tons of oil. Plant belongs to Russian- British TNK-VR holding.

LINIK CJSC, which is the owner of the production power of Lisichanskiy oil refinery, enters TNK-VR holding in Ukraine.
