SOCAR, Gazprom to ink memorandum on on swapping gas supplies

The State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) and Gazprom will sign a memorandum on mutual understanding to deliver Azerbaijani gas to Russia, SOCAR President Rovnag Abdullayev said on March 17.

"We are holding negotiations with Gazprom to deliver gas to Russia's southern regions. We will sign a memorandum on mutual understanding," Abdullayev said.

Russian will deliver gas to Dagestan and other regions of the country.

Earlier, SOCAR, Azerigaz and BP Azerbaijan checked the Gazimahammad-Shirvanovka pipeline to export gas from the Shah Daniz field.
