Georgian PM to partake at energy conference in Baku

Georgian Prime Minister Nika Gilauri will partake at the international energy exhibition and conference in Baku, the Georgian Oil and Gas Corporation reported.

Energy Minister Alexander Khetaguri and head of the Oil and Gas Corporation Zurab Janjagava will accompany the prime minister.

Georgia will present its stand at the exhibition.

The oil and Gas, Oil Refining and Caspian Oil and Gas exhibition and conference are significant arrangement in the oil and gas sector in the Caspian region. The exhibition will be held under the patronage of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on June 2-5.

The Industry and Energy Ministry and the State Oil Company render official support to the exhibition. The British company ITE Group and its partner in Caucasus Iteca Caspian jointly with the Azerbaijani Commerce and Industry Chamber are the organizers of the exhibition.

Over 400 companies from 30 countries are expected to partake at the exhibition. A number of new companies will enter Azerbaijan's market. New companies will cover 20 percent of the total area of exposition. Over 40 percent will be covered by global companies, including BP, Itochu, OMV Gas International GmbH, SOCAR, StatoilHydro ASA, Total, TPAO and others.
