Interview Trend with top project engineer of the Iran offshore engineering and construction company A.M.Tavakoli.
Trend : What are your hopes for the new drilling rig Iran Alborz?
A.M.Tavakoli: The Iran Alborz is needed to drill exploratory wells in deep water in a thousand meters. The rig is fully prepared and is being putting into operation. Iran Alborz will have to drill wells in the Iranian section of the Caspian Sea.
In addition, we are holding talks with Kazakhstan to create a construction site build platforms.
Q: What are the prospects for cooperation with Azerbaijan?
A: We are discussing with Azerbaijani companies the prospects for cooperation. We want to work together to share experiences, technologies and innovations.
Q: Your company is actively involved in the project South Pars. Are there any new orders in this gas project?
A: Indeed, we had a lot of work by phases 1,9,10,15,16,17 and18 of the South Pars project, in particular, built a platform that supports pipeline on the seabed. We recently entered into a contract for work on phase 20 and 22 of the South Pars.
