The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) launched a supply vessel Caspian Server, built by BUE Caspian Alliance in the Norwegian Simek Plant on July 3. Length of the vessel is 73.6 meters and width - 15 meters.

Currently, the alliance formed by the Caspian Sea Oil Fleet and British BUE exploits 14 ships. Three of these ships belong to the SOCAR's Caspian Sea Oil Fleet and the remained are new ships.

In May 2010, the alliance plans to bring two ships which are under constructions to Baku.

"SOCAR works in the alliance with BUE Caspian for 10 years, providing services with the use of ships in the Caspian Sea. In this period, roughly $300 million was spent to purchase the vessels. In future, these ships will remain in SOCAR to use in the Caspian Sea," SOCAR President Rovnag Abdullayev said participating in the ceremony of putting into operation of 11 ships.
