Volumes of oil pumping at Batumi oil terminal in Georgia increase owing to Kazakh oil drawing, Batumi Oil Terminal Ltd OJSC said. This company renders services to pump oil and oil products.
Total volume of oil, oil products and liquefied gas pumping via Batumi oil terminal hits 4 million 476,802 tons within nine months of 2009. Totally, 3 million 607,806 tons of oil, 796,386 tons of oil products and 72,610 tons of liquefied gas were pumped for this period.
Major volume of pumping falls on Kazakh oil from Tengiz field. Tengizchevroil company is operator. Presently, Tengiz field is one of the largest fields.
Tengizchevroil company has concluded the long-term contract with Batumi oil terminal and launched oil loading since November 2008. it increased volume of Kazakh oil transported via Georgia.
KazTransOil JSC (subsidiary of KazMunaiGaz national company JSC) bought 100 percent of Batumi Industrial Holdings Limited's shares in February 2008. Batumi Oil Terminal Ltd is one of major production sub-units.
