Although 115 days have passed since the official opening ceremony of the Iran Alborz Platform, the 145,000-ton facility is not yet ready to drill an exploratory well, MEHR quoted the Iranian national oil company as saying earlier today.
The foot and pumps are not ready, there are no spare parts, and talks with foreign companies, including Schlumberger, are ongoing.
An oil rig is being installed on the Iran-Alborz Platform. Discussions are underway with ITS, Schlumberger and MI to operate oil rig activities at the platform. The oil rig works will launch in three weeks, the Iranian national oil company reported.
The Iran Alborz Platform is fixed on the sixth block, 250 kilometers from the Neka Harbor.
