Ashgabat will hold the international "Main Growth Directions of Turkmenistan's Power Industry 2009" exhibition and conference Dec. 7-9.
Turkmenistan is a major electricity exporter in the region. Turkey, Iran and Afghanistan are the country's main importers. Turkmenistan's goal is to increase domestic energy consumption to 20 billion kW/h, and exports to 6.0 billion kW/h by 2020.
Exhibition participants include: АВВ, CAMFIL, GE Energy, DONALDSON Europe, DRAGER, ERS NPP, GENERATSIA INDUSTRIAL GROUP, GLOBE INTERSTAR, KAWASAKI GAS TURBIN Europe GmbH, NERO BUSINESS INC, SIEMENS POWER GENERATION, SOCOMEC, SULZER TURBO SERVICES, WOOD GROUP GAS Turbine Services, ÝARAW Trade House, YAROVIT ENERGO GRUOP, ZEPPELIN CAT and other companies.
Representatives from over 20 countries participated in the event last year.
