Ashgabat to host international alternative energy conference in February

Turkmenistan will host an international international alternative energy conference in Ashgabat.

The organizer is the Turkmen Academy of Sciences.

The "Problems of Alternative Energy Sources" conference will address scientific and technical, and ecological and economic aspects of alternative energy source development.

According to the organizers, the conference aims to share local and foreign experience, establish mutually beneficial cooperation and attract partners to implement effective scientific research projects.

According to local press, Turkmen scientists are working to develop to country's alternative energy industry. Their advancements include developing mini-assembly solar batteries, wind and sun photoelectric stations, solar collectors and other industrial installations.

The Neutralniy Turkmenistan newspaper reported that the introduction of alternative energy sources will be related to developing the national tourist zone on the Caspian Sea shore.

Turkmen scientists cooperate actively with German scientists.
