Turkmen enterprise ups petroleum products production

The largest Turkmen refinery Turkmenbashi (the Balkan region) produced more than four million tons of hydrocarbons in January-July 2010.

The refinery achieved good results in the production of various types of petroleum products, an official Turkmen source reported. The refinery produced more than one million tons of gasoline exceeding the plan by 3.4 percent, and 1.17 million tons of diesel fuel. Production of liquefied was 148,000 tons.

The plan for the kerosene production was over fulfilled by 26 percent.

In addition, during this time, the plant produced 638,000 tons of various kinds of oils, which is more by 22.5 percent compared to the same period of 2009.

During the first half of 2010, the refinery's commodity products with total volume of more than three million tons have been sent to consumers without delay, of which 60 percent are petroleum products exported abroad.

The large-scale reconstruction work worth 1.6 billion was held at the refinery. The companies from Japan, Germany, Israel, Iran, Turkey and France participated in the project.
