In January 2011, the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) exported 135,000 tons of oil products from its own refineries compared to about 170,700 tons in the same period of 2010.
The country produces oil products at the Two Baku refineries with a total capacity of 20 million tons of oil per year. Both refineries belong to SOCAR, which annually processes approximately 6 million tons of oil from the Azerbaijani offshore and onshore fields.
