SOCAR exported 541,540 tons of oil via the Baku-Novorossiysk pipeline in January-March compared to about 448,780 tons for the same period of last year, SOCAR said.
SOCAR exported 243,860 tons of oil from Novorossiysk in March compared to 159,500 tons in March 2010.
SOCAR exported 2.24 million tons of oil from Novorossiysk last year compared to 2.5 million tons in 2009.
In 2008, SOCAR exported 1,2 million tons of oil via the Baku-Novorossiysk pipeline. In 2007, about 1.2 million tons of oil were exported via this route. The figure is similar with that as of 2006. In 2005, the exports via Baku-Novorossiysk pipeline amounted to 1,6 million tons.
SOCAR transships its own oil, as well as oil of joint ventures and operating companies operating in Azerbaijan's onshore fields, through Novorossiysk.
Until late 2007, AIOC was the operator of Baku-Novorossiysk. The structure then transferred these functions to SOCAR.
