Oil production in Kazakhstan increased by 2.5 percent in January-May 2011 to reach 28.3 million tons, Kazinform reported referring to Kazakhstan's statistics agency.
According to the agency, the country's gas condensate production amounted to 5.4 million tons making a 5.5 percent increase. Natural gas production made 16.6 billion cubic metres increasing by 8.4 percent, while coal production grew by 6.9 percent to make 48 million tons.
