Rompetrol Group repairs refinery devices in Romania

The Rompetrol Group, which is wholly owned by the Kazakh state oil and gas company KazMunaiGas (KMG), has repaired refinery devices in Petromidia refinery (Romania)

The Rompetrol Group, which is wholly owned by the Kazakh state oil and gas company KazMunaiGas (KMG), has repaired refinery devices in Petromidia refinery (Romania), KMG reported on Wednesday.

"The Rompetrol Group has successfully repaired refinery devices on the Petromidia platform," the report said.

Moreover, six new refinery devices were launched.

This modernization completed within the program aimed at increasing refinery's capacity to 5 million tons of raw materials.
This program will be completed in the first quarter of 2012 and will strengthen the presence of The Rompetrol Group in Central and Eastern Europe.
A total of 2,000 employees were involved in the project.

Petromidia Refinery is the largest Romanian oil refinery and one of the largest in Eastern Europe.
The reconstruction of Petromidia refinery is a part of the National Company KazMunaiGas's strategy to consolidate and expand its presence in Central and Eastern Europe, Romania, Bulgaria, Moldova, Ukraine and Georgia. Rompetrol has filling stations there, as well as in Turkey, Serbia and Greece.
KazMunaiGas is the Kazakh national operator for hydrocarbon exploration, production, processing and transportation. The state owns 100 per cent of the company's shares.
