SOCAR Turkey Enerji is not interested in purchase of stake in Turkish gas distribution company Baskent Dogal Gaz, CEO of SOCAR Turkey Enerji Kenan Yavuz told Zaman newspaper on Monday.
Mr Yavuz said the company may become interested in tender on purchase of stake in other gas distribution company - IGDAS in case it is announced.
Earlier SOCAR's joint petrochemical company got a license for gross sale in Turkey's domestic market.
The license was issued for 30 years by the group of regulating Turkey's energy market.
Earlier SOCAR reached an agreement with the Turkish side on purchase and further sale of gas in Turkey to the volume of 1.2 billion cubic meters of gas per year. Most gas will be delivered to Petkim's petrochemical complex owned partially by SOCAR and the remaining volume will be sold to consumers in Turkey's domestic market.
