One of the top five Russian oil companies Gazprom Neft considers possible purchase of bitumen production facility in Kazakhstan, Novosti-Kazakhstan quotes the company's Commercial Directorate head Levan Kadagidze as saying.

"We have great plans for 2012. Acquiring bitumen production facility in Kazakhstan is in the final stage," Kadagidze said in an interview with "Sibirskaya Neft" (Siberian oil) journal.

According to Kadagidze, Gazprom Neft plans to increase premium sales of astringent polymer-bitumen and bitumen emulsions by 7 times up to 10,000 tons in 2012.

Kadagidze underscored Gazprom Neft holds talks with French Total to launch production of premium bitumen products at the Moscow oil refinery.

Gazprom Neft is subsidiary of the largest Russian National Company Gazprom.
