In Jan.-Feb., the Turkish State Pipeline Company Botas imported about 8.39 billion cubic meters of gas from various sources compared to 7.2 billion cubic meters in Jan.-Feb. 2011, Botas official website reported on Monday.
Turkey also imports gas from Azerbaijan, which is supplied via the Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum pipeline.
In 2011, the Turkish State Pipeline Company Botas imported more than 39.7 billion cubic meters of gas from various sources compared to about 32.5 billion cubic meters in 2010.
Some 56 million cubic meters of gas accounted for Botas's export operations in Jan.-Feb. compared to 120 million cubic meters during the same period of 2011. Some 726 million cubic meters of gas fall to export operations last year compared to 660 million cubic meters of gas in 2010.
Over 9.2 billion cubic meters of gas were sold in Jan.-Feb. on the Turkish domestic market compared to over 7.9 billion during the same period of 2011.
About 39.4 billion cubic meters of gas were sold on the Turkish domestic market in 2011 compared to about 31.5 billion cubic meters in 2010.
