Oil products produced in Turkey reduced

Oil product production decreased by 18.3 percent to 1.3 million tons in Turkey in February 2012, compared to the previous month, the Turkish Energy Market Regulatory Authority's report said today.

Petrol and diesel fuel production in the country during this period declined by 12.6 percent amounting to 798,800 tons.

Diesel fuel import to Turkey also decreased by 30.5 percent to 513,400 tons.

Petrol export from Turkey rose by 51.1 percent, amounting to 231,900 tons, the export of aviation fuel fell by 22.6 percent, amounting to 137,500 tons, the export of marine fuels rose by 180.5 percent amounting to 141,700 tons.

The average price on gasoline in Turkey in February rose by 2.6 percent, amounting to 4.35 lira.

The average price on diesel rose by 0.26 percent amounting to 3.86 lira.

The official exchange rate is 1.7729 TRY/USD on April 2.
