Kazakhstan ups maximum retail price on petrol, oil and lubricants

The Kazakh Agency for Regulation of Natural Monopolies increased maximum retail prices on petrol, oil and lubricants in October, the agency reported.

"Due to changes in quotations values of Brent oil from $104.09 per barrel in June to $114.8 per barrel in September, the maximum retail price on oil products, which prices are under state regulation were fixed as follows from Oct.3: petrol AI-80 ≤ 89.0 tenge ($0.59)/ liter, petrol AI-92 ≤110.0 tenge ($0.73) / liter, diesel ≤ 94.0 tenge ($0.62) / liter including VAT .

The maximum retail prices at filling stations in Kazakhstan from July to September 2012 were as follows: petrol AI-80 ≤ 86 tenge / liter, petrol AI-92/93 ≤106 tenge / liter, diesel ≤ 90 tenge / liter.

The Order 'On setting maximum prices on oil products, prices of which are under state regulation' has been agreed with the Kazakh Oil and Gas Ministry and Economic Development and Trade Ministry.
