Gasoline production up in Kazakhstan

Production of gasoline (including aviation gasoline) increased by 11.5 percent up to 1.81 million tons in Kazakhstan in January-July 2016 as compared to the same period in 2015, the Kazakh Statistics Committee said Aug. 16.

According to the Committee, the diesel fuel output increased by 7.5 percent up to 2.79 million tons in Kazakhstan.

The production of kerosene, including the jet fuel, decreased by 1.4 percent up to 168,200 tons in Kazakhstan, the Committee said.

The furnace fuel production dropped by 16.2 percent up to 1.7 million tons in Kazakhstan, the committee said.

Currently, modernization is underway in all three large refineries of Kazakhstan (Atyrau, Shymkent and Pavlodar), which will allow increasing gasoline production and improving its quality in Kazakhstan. The modernization of those refineries is planned to be completed in 2018.
