About 6.47 billion manats were invested in Azerbaijan’s oil and gas sector in January-September 2017 as compared to 6.51 billion manats in the same period of 2016 (decrease by 0.7 percent), said the country’s State Statistics Committee in a report.
During the period, total volume of investments in Azerbaijan’s industrial sector amounted to more than 7.3 billion manats that is 3.2 percent less than in January-September 2016.
Some 6.42 billion manats out of this amount were invested in the country’s mining industry that is 9.5 percent less than in January-September 2016.
Meanwhile, investments in production, distribution and supply of electricity, gas and heating amounted to more than 319.5 million manats in January-September 2017 that is 64.6 percent more than in the same period of 2016.
