Turkmenistan increases kerosene production

Kerosene production in Turkmenistan grew 3.1 percent in January 2018 compared to the same period of 2017, Nebit-Gaz, online newspaper of the country’s Oil and Gas Complex, reported.

“In 2017, the Turkmenbashi Complex of Oil Refineries produced 551,600 tons of kerosene, which is 0.6 percent more than in 2016,” the report said. “A total of 496,100 tons of this volume were exported, which is 26.1 percent more than in 2016. In value terms, the growth was 38.9 percent.”

Turkmenistan plans to bring its oil refining capacity to 20 million tons by 2020, to 22 million tons by 2025 and to 30 million tons by 2030. At this stage, the country annually produces more than 10 million tons of oil, the major part of which is processed at local facilities.
