ICGB extends tender for line pipe supply

The deadline for submission of applications for participation in the public procurement procedure “Line pipes manufacture and supply for the needs of gas interconnector Greece-Bulgaria” (IGB) has been extended to March 15, said a message from ICGB company engaged in the pipeline’s construction.

“On March 7, ICGB issued decision to resume the public procurement procedure “Line pipes manufacture and supply for the needs of gas interconnector Greece-Bulgaria” which was sent to be published at both the Public Procurement Registry and the Official Journal of the European Union. By virtue of the decision the deadline for submission of applications for participation is extended to March 15, 2018 till 17:30,” said the company.

IGB is a gas pipeline, which will allow Bulgaria to receive Azerbaijani gas, in particular, the gas produced from Azerbaijan's Shah Deniz 2 gas and condensate field. IGB is expected to be connected to the Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) via which gas from the Shah Deniz field will be delivered to the European markets.

The initial capacity of IGB will be 3 billion cubic meters of gas.
