Kazakhstan intends to export gasoline to such countries as Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan, Daniyar Tiesov, deputy chairman of the board for oil processing and marketing of KazMunayGas national company, said.

Tiesov made the remarks at the conference entitled "Argus Kazakhstan and Central Asia Oil and Gas 2018", the Kazakh media reported June 27.

"We should sign all the necessary intergovernmental documents with neighbouring countries,” he said. “We think that from the autumn 2018 we will be able to export these products to neighbouring countries, namely, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan."

Tiesov added that Kazakhstan can export 300,000-400,000 tons of gasoline by the end of 2018 and 1.2 million tons in 2019.

The Kazakh authorities proposed to ban the import of gasoline from Russia by rail for three months. Kazakh Energy Minister Kanat Bozumbayev’s order was published on the country’s e-government portal.

In April, Bozumbayev also spoke about the possible decrease in gasoline price in the country due to excess fuel.
