By Leman Zeynalova - Trend:

A decrease in diesel prices in Kazakhstan is expected in November, Kazakh media reported citing the country's Ministry of Energy.

"A decrease in diesel prices is expected in November this year, when the excise rate will decrease from 9,300 tenge per ton to 540 tenge per ton," the report says.

Due to the completion of harvests, diesel consumption is expected to decrease throughout Kazakhstan.

In September 2018, it is planned to produce about 386,500 tons of diesel at the country's oil refineries.

"In connection with the growing rail freight traffic in September, it is planned to spend about 60,400 tons of diesel or 15.62 percent of the total product. About 3.88 percent or 15,000 tons of diesel produced in September is planned to be spent for the needs of mining and metallurgy," the ministry's message reads.
