The head of the Iranian parliament’s energy commission said the third phase of Persian Gulf Star Refinery (PGSR) in Bandar Abbas, which is hailed as the Middle East’s largest gas condensate processing complex, will come on stream in late November.
“The third phase of Persian Gulf Star Refinery will be implemented in late November,” Fereydoon Hasanvand said, IRNA reported on October 3.
He added that other phases of the refinery will become operational by the end of the current Iranian calendar year (started March 21).
With the implementation of the third phase of the refinery, its daily gasoline production will reach 36 million liters by year-end.
Iranian President Hassan Rouhani on June 30 inaugurated the second phase of the Persian Gulf Star Refinery in the southern port city of Bandar Abbas.
Phase 1 of the refinery was opened by the president in March 2017.
