On the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution, 2,350 projects will be commissioned in Iran, Hassan Montazer Torbati, Executive Director of the National Iranian Gas Company, told SNN, Trend reports.
According to Montazer Torbati, 35 trillion rials (about $833 million) have been spent and 27,000 Iranian villages have been supplied with gas.
"According to the National Iranian Gas Company's program, 10 villages are supplied with gas daily," he said.
According to Montazer Torbati, 113 villages in Iran’s eastern Razavi Khorasan Province were supplied with gas at the beginning of this week (weeks in Iran begin on Saturday).
Montazer Torbati said that roughly 800 million cubic meters of gas is processed daily at the gas processing plants in Iran, which is equivalent to 5 million barrels of crude oil in terms of heat.
