Iran has deployed the second platform in the phases 22-24 of the South Pars Gas Field, Trend reports referring to Iran’s Pars Oil and Gas Company.

The HL5000 ship has completed the installation of the 2,300-ton 24A platform.

The remaining work, taking into account the weather conditions, will be completed within 2 weeks, and gas production will be launched at the platform.

The commissioning of this platform will add 14.2 million cubic meters of gas daily to Iran's gas production.

Farhad Izadjou, project manager at the phases 22-24, said that the platform 24A will be the most modern platform to be installed at South Pars.

Izadjou added that the installation and commissioning of the platform was carried out by Iranian specialists.

Also, most of the equipment needed on this platform has been domestically produced.

The phases 22-24 of South Pars envisage the production of 56 million cubic meters of sour gas, 50 million cubic meters of methane gas, 2,900 tons of liquefied gas (LPG), 2,750 tons of ethane, 75,000 barrels of gas condensate and 400 tons of sulfur.
