Uzbekneftegaz and the US Air Products signed an agreement on the establishment of a joint venture for the production of industrial gases in Uzbekistan, Trend reports with reference to the press service of Uzbekneftegaz.
The document was signed at the 23-rd international exhibition and conference "Oil and Gas of Uzbekistan - OGU-2019" in Tashkent.
The agreement will establish the country's industrial gas market infrastructure, localize the production of several types of rare gases, including xenon, krypton, helium, argon and others, and create new jobs.
From August 2018, meetings were held between the leadership of Uzbekneftegaz and Air Products on that project.
As a result of the negotiations, a joint working group was established, which was engaged in preliminary analysis and study of the needs for industrial gases, such as hydrogen, oxygen, argon, carbon dioxide and rare gases, both in Uzbekistan and in neighboring countries.
