Georgian company starts to supply gas to village in Imereti Province

Georgian Gas Transportation Company has completed construction of the gas pipeline to supply gas to Meore-Sviri village of Zestafoni Municipality in Georgia's Imereti Province, Trend reports citing the website of the company.

Under the project, 147 households are supplied with natural gas.

As part of a three-year plan, work is underway to supply gas to the villages of the municipalities of Zestafoni, Marotubani, Rkviya and Sahanshir. With completion of the works in 2019, gas will be supplied to four villages: Tabakin, Upper Skala, Lower Skala and Tvrini.

In 2020, gas will be supplied to the village of Sagvigne.

Earlier, a pre-project briefing of 18 villages of the Zestafoni municipality was held, the results of which were sent to the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia for further consideration.

The Georgian gas transportation company, on the basis of a government decree, constantly carries out the design and construction work to supply gas to the population.
