Huge funds to be allocated for Iran’s Qoureh Jask crude oil pipeline

The funds worth $1.8 billion and 3.5 trillion rials (approximately $83.3 million) are planned to be allocated for Iran’s Qoureh Jask crude oil pipeline, Touraj Dehghani, Executive Director of the Iranian Petroleum Engineering and Development Company, said.

Dehghani made the remarks at the signing ceremony of the contract for the installation of electric pumps for the Qoureh Jask pipeline project, Trend reports referring to Shana news agency.

One million barrels of heavy and light crude oil will be supplied through the pipeline daily, he said.

He added that according to the preliminary estimations, 5.6-5.8 MW electric pumps will be installed within the project.

Dehghani hopes that the first phase of the project will be completed during 18 months.

The length of the pipeline is approximately 1,000 kilometers long. Fifty electric pumps are planned to be installed in the pipeline. Iran's Petroleum Engineering and Development Company, Iranian Pump Manufacturing Company (Pumpiran), Iran’s industrial pumps company and Petco company signed an agreement on production of pumps.
