Malaysian company may introduce green technology system in Uzbekistan

Representatives of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Malaysia held talks with the Malaysian Pendinginan Megajana company on the possibility of establishing cooperation with Uzbek partners, Trend reports with reference to Uzbekistan’s Foreign Ministry.

Pendinginan Megajana develops, own, operate, and maintain District Cooling System.

Negotiations on the introduction of green technologies in the country for centralized cooling and heating of certain areas, including by attracting direct Malaysian investments, were held on October 10, during the 10th International Exhibition Green Technologies and Ecological Products of Malaysia (International Greentech & Eco Products Exhibition Malaysia - IGEM). It has been organized by the Ministry of Energy, Science, Technology, Environment and Climate Change of Malaysia.

The Uzbek side also held talks with the Japanese Solar Frontier K.K. CIS thin-film solar energy company to consider the possibility of establishing cooperation in the implementation of environmentally friendly thin-film solar panels of CIS technology in Uzbekistan. CIS stands for the elements copper (C), indium (I) and selenium (S), which are the materials on which Solar Frontier's CIS technology is based

The IGEM is held annually and is also recognized as a platform for the formation and promotion of know-how in the field of alternative energy in Southeast Asia.

More than 350 companies involved in the production of alternative energy sources, environmentally friendly products and building materials, resource-saving innovations, as well as relevant research centers from the countries of the region, Europe and America took part in IGEM-2019.
