Gulf Drilling Azerbaijan announces drilling plans by late 2019

Gulf Drilling Azerbaijan plans to complete drilling of 16 wells in five fields in Azerbaijan by the end of 2019, a source in the country's oil and gas market told Trend.
“At present, we are working in such fields as Surakhani, Balakhani, Ramana, Galmaz and Buzovna. To date, 108 wells have been drilled at the Surakhani field, Balakhani - 134, Ramana - 65, Galmaz - 6, Buzovna - 6,” the source said.
As the source noted, the company is drilling gas injection wells at the Galmaz gas field, while in other fields it is drilling development wells.
By the end of this year, it is planned to complete the drilling of three wells at the Surakhani field, seven wells at the Balakhani field, one at Ramana, three at Galmaz and two at the Buzovna field, the source added.
Gulf Drilling Azerbaijan, established in 2007, is a subsidiary of Gulf Drilling Supply FZE (UAE). The Azerbaijani branch of the company is engaged in drilling vertical and directional wells for the production of oil, gas and water, as well as sidetracking and overhauling of wells.
