The Emirate companies Masdar and Mubadala will sign agreements with Uzbekistan on the construction of a wind power station and the privatization of the Talimarjan Thermal Power Plant JSC on January 18, Trend reports citing Uzbek media.
Masdar will sign an agreement on the implementation of a project to build a 400 MW wind farm in the Navoi region. The Emirate company will carry out the design, financing, construction and operation of a power plant for the entire project implementation period of 25 years.
The company will invest more than $600 million in the construction of a power plant. The construction of the facility is scheduled to begin in the fourth quarter of 2020 with commissioning before the end of 2021.
Mubadala will sign an agreement on the implementation of a project to privatize existing and build new power plants on the basis of Talimarjan Thermal Power Plant JSC. The Emirate investment company intends to attract investments worth more than $1 billion for the development of the facility and the construction of new power plants based on it.
