Uzbekistan, for for the first time in its history, has launched production of environmentally friendly and high-quality Euro-4 and Euro-5 diesel fuel on March 30, 2020, Trend reports citing Uzbekneftegaz.
The production was launched at the Bukhara Refinery, part of Uzbekneftegaz.
According to laboratory analysis, the number of sulfur compounds in the resulting diesel fuel is 3 ppm, which corresponds to diesel fuel of Euro-5 class (no more than 10 ppm). The refinery is capable of producing up to 100,000 tons of Euro-5 diesel fuel per year.
Currently, Uzbekneftegaz is working on increasing production of Euro-5 diesel fuel and the transition of RON-91, RON-92 and RON-95 gasoline to Euro-4 and Euro-5.
Uzbekneftegaz is a state-owned holding company and the largest state company in Uzbekistan. The company ranks 11th in the world's natural gas production.
