The olefin plant of Ilam Petrochemical Company in the Ilam Province (western Iran) will be commissioned before July 22, 2020 (start of the fifth month of the current Iranian year), Deputy Director of the company Homayoun Jamshidian said, Trend reports citing the company’s website.
According to Jamshidian, the progress in the construction of the olefin plant is about 98 percent.
The deputy director added that with the commissioning of this plant, it will produce 458,000 tons of ethylene, 124,000 tons of propylene, 33,000 tons of fuel oil and 23,000 tons of hydrogen a year.
At present, the company employs 2,190 people.
More than 3.5 percent of Iran's oil reserves and more than 11 percent of gas reserves are located in Ilam Province of Iran.
