The Iranian Persian Gulf Star Oil Company produced more than 13 billion liters of gasoline in the last Iranian year (March 21, 2019 to March 20, 2020), executive director of the company Mohammad Ali Dadvar said, Trend reports citing official website of the company.

According to Dadvar, the gasoline production increased by 1.75 percent compared to the preceding Iranian year (from March 21, 2018 to March 21, 2019).

In addition, the company produced 5 billion liters of heavy distillate and more than 500 million liters of liquefied gas, he added.

The director said that the company’s refinery has 3 phases. The daily refining capacity of each phases were increased from 120,000 barrels to 180,000 barrels.

Dadvar noted that the first stage on increasing the refining capacity of the company was implemented in the last Iranian year. With the implementation of the second stage in the current Iranian year (from March 20, 2020 to March 21, 2021), the daily refining capacity will increase to 450,000 barrels.

"Last Iranian year, the company received about 140 million barrels of gas condensate as fuel. This is an increase of about 1.75 percent compared to the preceding Iranian year," he said.

The construction of three phases of the Persian Gulf Star Oil Refinery began in 2006. The company's fuel is supplied by gas condensate from the South Pars gas field. The third phase of the company's refinery was commissioned in 2019.
