Turkmenistan is the leader in the volume of pipeline gas exports to China, Trend reports with reference to the Turkmenportal information portal.
Turkmenistan has increased the supply of pipeline gas to China to 78.3 billion cubic meters per day. So, by June, deliveries increased by 7 percent in daily terms and exceeded the volume of deliveries in February of this year.
Kazakhstan ranks second in terms of pipeline gas supplies to China, and Russia's Gazprom ranks third, having delivered 379 million cubic meters of gas (12.2 million cubic meters per day) to China in July.
As reported, about 260 billion cubic meters of natural gas was exported from Central Asia to China via Turkmenistan–Uzbekistan–Kazakhstan–China gas pipeline from January through June 2020, and more than 80 percent of this volume accounted for Turkmenistan.
The biggest part of the gas supplied from the Turkmen side was extracted from the fields operated by Turkmengas State Concern.
