A well with the production of natural gas and gas condensate was opened at the Yormok field located on the territory of the Guzar district of the Kashkadarya region in Uzbekistan, Trend reports with reference to Uzbekneftegaz.

At the direction of the Chairman of the Management Board of Uzbekneftegaz JSC within the framework of the program for the development and reproduction of the Hydrocarbon Raw Material Base, prospecting and exploration work is being carried out at the Yormok field of the Kashkadarya region.

In May 2020, drilling began in exploration well No. 4 in order to study the oil and gas content of the carbonate-Jurassic deposits. The well was drilled to a depth of 3,175 meters and site-by-site testing began to determine the oil and gas content.

As a result of testing a well in an open hole in the interval of 3,175-3,105 meters, and industrial flow of natural gas was obtained.

The daily flow rate amounts to (with a 10 mm choke) 75,000 cubic meters of gas and 1.2 cubic meters of condensate. The well was also surveyed to determine the parameters of the reservoirs. In addition, the well will be transferred to pilot production.

The Yormok field is located in the Guzar district of the Kashkadarya region of Uzbekistan and was commissioned in 2018. Exploration well No. 3 here began drilling in March 2019 to study the oil and gas content of the Jurassic carbonate deposits and was drilled to a depth of 3,300 meters.

During the well testing in October 2019, in the interval of 3,133-3,065 meters, and industrial flow of natural gas was obtained with a preliminary flow rate of 250,000-300,000 thousand meters per day.
