The production of Ilam Petrochemical Company in the Ilam Province (western Iran) increased annually by 750,000 tons with the launch of the olefin and desulfurization units, today on December 24, Executive Director of Ilam Petrochemical Company Hassan Najafi Semnani said, Trend reports citing the company’s website.
He made the remark in an event dedicated to the launch of the olefin unit.
Najafi Semnani noted that this unit can produce 458,000 tons of ethylene, 124,000 tons of propylene, 132,000 tons of pyrolysis gasoline, and 33,000 tons of liquid fuel per year.
The director added that 305,000 tons of produced ethylene will be used in the heavy polyethylene unit, and about 150,000 tons of ethylene will be sold.
“The Ilam Petrochemical Company’s plant has 4 units, at present. These are desulfurization, olefin, heavy ethylene, and ancillary services units,” he said.
A total of 866 million euros was spent on the launch of the desulfurization and olefin units of the Ilam Petrochemical Company.
