Production of oil pipes in Iran increases

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Jan. 11

The production of seamless oil pipes of the Iranian Luleh Gostar of Esfarayen Company increased by 70 percent during the first eight months of the current Iranian year (March 20 through November 20, 2020), compared to the same period last Iranian year, said Mazyar Zand, the Executive Director of the company, of which is a subsidiary of Industrial Development & Renovation Organization of Iran (IDRO), Trend reports citing the Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade of Iran.

The director emphasized that the company produced 15,500 tons of oil pipes in 8 months. While in the same period last Iranian year, 9,200 tons of oil pipes were produced.

Zand added that these pipes are used in oil wells, as well as, the transportation of oil, gas and petrochemical products.

“Under the program, the company will continue to increase the quality and quantity of oil pipes,” he said.

Zand also noted that the company plans to increase steel pipe production by minimum 150 percent in the current Iranian year.

Iran's Luleh Gostar of Esfarayen Company is the only manufacturer of 7-16 inch seamless steel pipes in Iran. This company can produce 100,000 tons of pipes per year.
