Azerbaijan exported 12.3 billion cubic meters of gas via the Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum pipeline in 2020, which is by 17.7 percent more than in 2019, Trend reports citing a report from the Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee.
Some 41.4 percent of all gas transported by Azerbaijan accounted for Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum.
Some 29.6 billion cubic meters of gas were transported through the main pipelines of Azerbaijan in 2020, which is by 7.6 percent more than in 2019.
The length of the Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum pipeline is over 700 kilometers. The gas which is produced at the Shah Deniz gas condensate field in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea is transported via this gas pipeline. Gas is supplied by pipeline to Georgia and Turkey.
