A solar power plant with a capacity of 20 MW has started operating in the Aikol residential area in Kazakhstan’s Shymkent city, Trend reports citing KAZAKH INVEST National Company.
The launched plant is the third solar powerhouse operating in the city. The power plant operates on the area of 50 hectares. A foreign investor has been attracted to the project, the total cost of which was 6.2 billion tenge ($14.7 million).
