Kazakhstan's Aktau port unveils volume of oil shipped off to Azerbaijan

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Feb. 12

Some 203 385 tons of oil have been shipped from Kazakhstan’s port of Aktau to be exported to Azerbaijan in 2020, the port official told Trend.

In turn, the volume of grain sent for export to Azerbaijan amounted to 5,600 tons, while the volume of metal amounted to 7,910 tons.

The volume of ferry cargo sent from the port for export to Azerbaijan amounted to 4,068 tons in 2020.

In turn, the volume of containers sent for export to Azerbaijan reached 129,138 tons, while the imported containers equaled 63,562 tons.

Currently, three seaports in Kazakhstan render the services to vessels of various tonnage, namely, Aktau, Bautino, and Kuryk.

Nowadays, Aktau International Commercial Sea Port is a modern multi-purpose terminal that allows the transportation of goods from East to West, from North to South and back 12 months a year and 24 hours a day.

Aktau seaport is located on the eastern coast of the Caspian Sea at the intersection of several international transport corridors.

"Bautino" cargo area in the settlement of the same name is a subdivision of JSC "NC" Aktau International Sea Trade Port ".
