Turkmenistan is taking measures to introduce digital technologies in enterprises and institutions of the oil and gas sector, Trend reports, citing the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.

In particular, measures for the introduction of digital technologies are being taken by the structure of the central offices of Turkmengas and Turkmennebit State Concerns, as well as the Turkmengeology State Corporation.

The digitalization of the structure of the fuel and energy sector is introduced in accordance with the Concept of development of digital economy in Turkmenistan for 2019-2025 years earlier instructions of the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

As it was reported earlier, Turkmenistan is introducing digital technologies to the enterprises of Turkmenneft State Concern.

In this regard, the concern's oil-producing enterprises are working on automation of oil production control systems at wells equipped with rod depth pumps. This work will simplify the collection and analysis of data.

Digitalization is being implemented in all segments of the concern's activities, becoming a platform for technological and production diversification, providing a competitive advantage.

Earlier, Turkmenneft signed a contract with Russia’s Automation-Metrology-Expert LTD engineering company for the supply of 50 sets of UMF300 multi-phase level meters to equip the concern's reservoirs. This digital equipment allows obtaining quantitative and qualitative indicators and determining the interphase level of oil/water.

The introduction of digital technologies will help to improve the efficiency of managing the processes of exploration, development of oil fields, and production, the report said.
