Iran unveils electricity generation data of Ramin TPP

The Ramin Thermal Power Plant in the Khuzestan Province (southwestern Iran) generated 9.14 million megawatt-hours of electricity in the last Iranian year (from March 20, 2020 through March 20, 2021), Executive Director of Ramin TPP, Khalil Mohammadi said, Trend reports citing the Ministry of Energy of Iran.

The director emphasized that a number of overhauls were carried out at the power plant, and the TPP operated for a total of 38,500 hours.

Mohammadi added that the thermal power plant generated an average of 234 megawatt-hours of electricity in the last Iranian year.

“It is estimated that the Ramin TPP will generate maximum electricity with carrying out a number of repairs in the current Iranian year (from March 21, 2021 through March 20, 2022),” he said.

As reported, Iran's Ramin Thermal Power Plant is considered the largest TPP in Iran. This thermal power plant has 6 steam units each capacity of 315 megawatts.
