Iran boost extraction from Danan oil field

BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 21

The extraction from the Danan oil field in Ilam Province (western Iran) has increased by 4,000 barrels daily, the official of Iranian Central Oil Fields Company (ICOFC), Parviz Salehvand said, Trend reports citing the company’s website.

The official emphasized that excavations have been completed in two wells of the field in order to increase extraction.

Salehvand added that the two wells were drilled by Iran's Mapna Group in order to maintain and increase extraction.

“As many as 6 wells were drilled and launched in the company’s Saadatabad, Naft shahr, Danan and Dehloran fields over the last Iranian year (from March 20, 2020 through March 20, 2021), and it is planned to drill and launch 10 more wells in this year (from March 21, 2021 through March 20, 2022),” he said.

As reported, oil extraction from the Danan oil field, which discovered in 2007, began in 2014. At present, daily 9,000 barrels of oil are extracted from the field, and this extraction is estimated to be reached 19,000 barrels daily.
