By Jeila Aliyeva - Trend:
Turkish Çalık Enerji will complete the construction of the largest center for repair and maintenance of energy equipment in Central Asia, a high-tech base for the Turkmenenergoabatlayysh enterprise in Turkmenistan by mid-2022, Trend reports with reference to Turkmenistan: Golden Age electronic newspaper.
For the first time in local conditions, the center will organize servicing, first of all, of powerful gas turbines that are equipped with power plants.
Currently, more than 30 gas turbines of different capacities from the American General Electric company are operated only at the generating facilities of the Ministry of Energy of Turkmenistan.
Following an international tender, Turkey’s "Calik Enerji Sanayi ve Ticaret A.S." modernized the power plant in Mary city in southern Turkmenistan.
The modernization project included the repair of turbines and the purchase of necessary spare parts, equipment, materials, and chemicals.
In September 2018, a combined gas-steam power plant with a capacity of 1,574 megawatts was commissioned on the territory of the Mary power plant in southern Turkmenistan.
